Memory card data recovery

A card the camera no longer trusts
A memory card lives in a camera, a drone, a phone (if it is microSD, not the phone itself), a recorder, a dashcam. Typical line: “card is empty”, “card error”, “format to use”. The files are often still there. The camera simply will not risk a broken table of contents.
The other picture: the card bent in the adapter, contacts are dirty, microSD snapped. Do not tape it. Bring the pieces. Washing machine and sea - same rule as a stick: do not power it.
Formats: SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSD, miniSD, CompactFlash, sometimes xD. Phone internal storage is not a card - we do not take phones. If the photos sit on the phone’s microSD, take the card out.
After delete in the camera
Camera “delete all” is logical loss until you shoot over it. Every new RAW or 4K clip overwrites old sectors. Stop using it even if the wedding is still on - put a new card in, bring the old one to us.
