The safest first step is to stop.
- Unplug the drive, stick or card. Do not format, do not run chkdsk, do not save anything new on it.
- Free tools often write to the same media. That leaves us less to work with.
- If a hard drive clicks, scrapes or vanishes from the disk list, cut the power. A reboot will not fix mechanics.

Frequently asked questions
Is recovery always possible?
No. An overwritten SSD, a scored platter or a washed NAND chip that is dead sometimes remains only as an object. If we cannot get the files, you do not pay for recovery.
Does diagnostics mean you open the drive?
We do not open a hard drive for fun. First logical inspection and electronics. If it clicks, we stop so we do not make it worse.
How long does it take?
Simple logical loss from a flash stick can be a matter of days. Physical damage takes longer. We give a range after the first look, not in the advert.
Do you keep the files?
No. Work is on site, not sent to third parties, not used as samples. After handover, copies are not kept in use.
Do you do video cassettes?
Yes, but not under this brand. Analog video and 8 mm: kasseta.ee. Data media: taastaandmed.ee. Same phone and address.
